Yep.
You can.
Turrets can be hacked to not shoot you and while powers DO make your playthrough a breeze, the difference in the endings is just one line as far as I noticed.
So don't know about the achievements and *BEST* endings, but you can get really good one with alien powers :)
Also if that's the way you like and "feel" the game - I will suggest you to continue do whatever you think it's right.
For me at least the ending nailed all I was thinking when I was doing whatever I was doing.
Don't worry about it so much!
Pro tip:
You actually get a BETTER ending when using alien powers.
Find the ability named "Mindjack" when you get it and read the description REALLY careful.
Without it a lot of the ship's crew will pretty much die, though it aint their fault they ended up in the deep sheet.
Cheers.
Don't wanna spoil it for ya since I don't know how far in the game you are so I am just gonna say as much:
I once aggrored more enemies than I should have - I was clumsy while using the ability I named - so the head of a random crew member exploded right infront of me.
Tbh I kinda felt really bad, never reloaded the save - tis your actions, choices and mistakes that makes the playthrough unique and personal after all.
With this in mind - I would strongly suggest you to evade forums/reviews/playthorughs/youtube videos untill you finish the game by yourself with your choices/actions/mistakes.
From what I've seen and experienced it is totally worth it :)
To get best ending you need to save the greenhouse humans, find danielle sho by tapping the window, give the woman in engineering the medicine, let her listen to the audio about her father, save dr igwe from the cargo container, find the music brain recording for him, do the cargo bay turret battle without losing anyone, prevent the cargo bay from being used as hostrages, knock daub unconcious and reprogram him.
With some effort it's possible to leave on the shuttle with 33 people alive.
2- Save people (I think there are 4 that you can save(except others in the cargo bay)
3- Don't do violet-colored ability upgrades(mimic upgrades)
4- Pease do all the side quests (except the smuggling thing, it doesn't worth it..)
5- Try to find everyone that you can track with bracelet.
Killing the mind-controlled is actually noted at the end.
Just saying - you can save them either way if you're careful :)
I actually didn't kill any of them ahahaha just used the zapper on them.
Better ending? Personally I found the best ending was without using any powers at all. If you kill the telepaths quickly the crew remains alive anyway. Did the whole game without using a single power, next run through ima do it without using anything at all and only weapon upgrades
rly?
i wana get this game but...is it true?
