How to use fertilizer Greenhouse ?

I got 3 of those in my inventory, but when i'm standing before the machine, i got an empty slot.
Any solutions?

I found I had to actually transfer the item over to the container.

o0. How do i do that?. I synthesized them from the fabricator, but when im at the Sprinkler system near the turret, the box is empty.

Yeah, but its like a container/corpse, right? You can open a menu to manually put items into the container. Its not just for looting from a box, you can add to it. Just hold like G or something and you can select items from your inventory to put in.

Okay, but what about those of us that play a console and not a computer. Like a ps4.

I've hit ever button, and I can't complete this objective, despite having the fertilizer and the objective telling me where to put said fertilizer.

Nevermind.. I've gotten halfway through the game and I've never thought to simply press triangle, instead of holding it all the time.
