picking up bracelets *SPOILERS*

Is there any reason to pick up the tracking bracelets? I ended up with about five of them. Is it purely for an achievement?

same here, I have no idea what they are for. Is it best to leave them in your safe or bring it just in case?

I don't think they have a real purpose other than to throw you off the trail of a living person such as Alex Yu. He doesn't want to be found and removed his, so when you track him using a security station, you'll end up finding his removed tracking bracelet and not him.
Other than for the sake of the plot, there's nothing else you can do with them.

maybe it's like oxygen? you can find oxygen kits, but you can't use them.. it's just removed from game?

I think oxygen is a cut feature, but Arkane did an interview a few days ago where they said they want to add a survival mode where you have to replenish oxygen for the space suit.

You can use the bracelet to mark some box or location, so later you can find this location again. Couldn't find any other use for it.

I believe certain events during later part of the game lets operators find you if you are holding on to Alex bracelet.

I was wondering about this, if the game engine was smart enough to actually track the locations of bracelets on the station but never got around to trying it. Does that work from anywhere you stash it? If so... Yet another amazing little detail!

They serve no beneficial purpose. If they were a key item you would not be able to recycle them.
