How to handle phantom?

Phantoms are really annoying. How would I handle such pests? You hit them with your GLOO gun to freeze them but they escape and kill you after two or tthree hits.

How can I kill these bastards?

It's not tough mate.
On nightmare, I activate Combat Focus then unload my shotgun on the face. Always works

Glue gun then (What i ABSOLUTLY reccommend...) kinetic blast, hes up in the air, shoot him while hes there quake style.

Shotgun to the face works wonderfully. Wait around corners, blast it in the face, retreat and reload.

I usually scan him (I have the chip that make scanned enemy takes more dmg, also useful against the invisible one as you can track them around), backlash/combat focus myself, wombo combo glue/stun + 2/3 shotgun to the face.

If there are more than one of them, I usually see if I can bait one out, or I find cover (like a vent), or using Recycle + Lure (Recycle can take down 3/4 their hp)

I use the stun gun on them and shoot them point blank with the shotgun. By the time the Phantom can move, It only has a sliver of life left.

Stealth and some way to stun them works great. You get 150% bonus with a stealth attack (not upgraded), a stun gun or gloo or some of the grenades will stun them and with one or two rounds more the phantom is over.

Early in the game, use a recycler grenade (especially if you get two or more together). Explore lots and find the neuromod schematics, then craft loads and spend them on security skills - increased HP, security weapons damage, sneak damage - alos upgrade the shotgun and pistol. I'm playing on hard and a phantom takes one shotgun blast to the face, combined with a couple of pistol shots (less with sneaking). I took down my first nightmare with two sneak shotgun hits from behind.
