Where is Kirk? - Side Quest Problem

So I activated this quest through an audio log when I was in the Talos Bridge.I went to Life Support after that to try to find Kirk Remmer. When I arrived, the marker disappeared. Then I went inside of the security station in Life Support, and I found him in the Crew List under the Cargo Bay tab. I marked him, but then I got a message with the red symbol in the left corner [picture link down here], and I still didn't see Kirk as an objective on my screen. I don't know where to find him.

Got the exact same problem the little i can make out in game is that hes now a phanotm in that area but hes never spawned for me atall the many times ive been through the area over time.

Kirk is in a locked room that needs a keycard i think. He's also turned into a typhon so...

If you want to find anybody goto a security terminal and look on the crew tab, click on the crewmembers name when you find it and it will give you a marker and a "quest"

As we both said that doesnt work for kirk atall it seesm to but as soon as you move the quest auto ends with a red failed icon instead reverting back to still find kirk. And which locked room ive unlocked every thing in life support and no sign of him atall.

Can't find him as well. Explored literally whole life support location. It was specified in audio log, that he was near esacpe pods, but no luck there. Maybe, he got tossed to space in escape pod, I'm not sure.

Same problem here. I read a few people found him in the escape pod area in life support, but he never spawned for me or something. Perhaps it's a bug.

I guess we killed him in pod area before picking up the quest. So his phantom is already dead, thats why track fails. Waiting for patch?

ok not sure exactly ur problem... but here is my 2 cents. i got a msg about this guy when i got close to a closed door. *forgot which*. like 5 ppl had made a last stand there and remmer was apparently the one who did them all in. got somtehing like find the guy or blaaa. when so many ppl are dead like that figured dude was VERY close by. he was not RIGHT there but around a corner i found another drop pod room. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ was patrolling inside that room and i easily got behind him and took him out.

so you mean that u met him in cargo area? Because I was quiet sure that i killed him some time ago in lifesupport area...

For me there's still one room in life support I haven't been in and that's the atmosphere control room. It needs a keycard and I don't know where it is.

I'm playing on PS4 but I have had the same issue. Not just with kirk too.
What the deal with kirk is, is that he is a phantom in the escape pod area in life support, you need to kill him and loot his tracking bracelet to mark him as found.
I didn't loot it, then going back, it's not there.
I have had the same issue with a few other people in different areas, where their status is _____ and tracking them instantly gives a red x sign.
My thoughts are that I probably recycled bodies by accident without knowing, or other phantoms that i did not loot their bracelets.
Seems to b ethe only way to get everyone is by being a psychopath and killing everyone as there are NPC's in the I.T closet in the lobby that only spawn i n a psychopath side quest.

I have to save the find everyone cheevo for my 2nd playthrough

Just watched a video about prey and while I was watching one of the clips used was him killing kirk in the life pod area. So yeah he's definitely supposed to be there.
