After you activate the tracking bracelet visit a security station to activate a marker for Grant Lockwood. I was exploring the exterior for hours till I tried just tracking him like anyone else and it worked for me.

ah the quest dosn't make it clear because it tells you that the braclet is activated but dosen't say to go to a terminal to activate it again (well dosen't seem to be clear if it does). Meh might go find him (already spent ages on it) although someone who doesn't remeber how to operate the docking controls deserves to stay lost. :)

where can i find security terminal? i am in talos lobby heading arboretum now.

also i forget why do you need to locate this grant lockwood guy in the first place? can i just skip this?

It's a side mission so you can skip it. With regards to the location of security terminals, every level has one. They are usually in security booths and are the same terminals where you download the map for any given level. Arboretum's security booth is at the entrance to Crew's Quarters, just before you descend the stairs.

i enabled it and tracked him yet cannnot seem to find him or get a quest marker this missiion is pissing me the f off

You have to first enter the code for his tracker then go the shuttle bay security console and in the crew section you can highlight him this will set a marker for him the next time you go into the talos 1 exterior.

So, yeah, a zombie thread, but for anyone else, this was a pain in the butt mission, but eventually, I found him by activating his bracelet like above, then leaving out of the Shuttle Bay Airlock, turned right, and he was about 425 feet out...

Otherwise you dont get a chipset called artax propulsion gen 2 i believe.

You can create Gen 1 in fabricator but Gen 2 can be only aquired by looting Lockwood body.

Here's a helpful tip that hasn't been posted: If you go out to one of those Transtar billboards that orbit the station and shadow it as it passes by the Shuttle Bay wing, that is close enough that the corpse will appear on your radar.

That means you can get it as soon as your first spacewalk, although you will risk radiation poisoning.

No, Gen 1 is on a body in the Magnetosphere Chamber.
