♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that mouse sensitivity is insanely stupid
Are you SERIOUS? Even at 1 the sensitivity is sheer idiocy, moving that slider didn't seem to do ANYTHING.

adjust your dpi?
Vahnkiljoy May 6, 2017 @ 2:26am
My dpi is fine, never had to do such a thing for any other game and there is no reason to start now, if devs made their settings actually do something that'd be better.

... so how about you stop saying it's the "dev's fault" for the setting being so drastically different for every other game, and change you damn'ed mouse settings?

I mean... you have the power to fix it.

They could easily not make it so the default setting of 10 is akin to what seemed to be 20k dpi as if this game were a twitch shooter, I barely moved my mouse and I did a 360, turning it to 1 makes it bearable. You realize you did nothing to your statement when you outright said their settings are completely different and that I need to alter my actual mouse settings instead of them fixing theirs.

White knights, game just released and they are spawned.

I always swtich dpi on the go depending on the situation, if you have a decent gaming mouse this should not be an issue.

That shouldn't be necessary you idiot. It's 2017. We have mice with 3K+ DPI FFS.

Why the hell do I need to set my sensitivity to freakin TWO out of ONE HUNDRED for the game to be playable at 1600DPI?

No one should be forced to turn down their DPI because developers are too stupid to test their game with reasonable hardware.

I'm supposed to believe that not a single person in the office didn't have a mouse available for testing with a DPI over 800?

Yeah... I don't buy that for a second.

This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I'm so damn sick of having to put my mouse sensitivity to something like 0.06 just to be able to use a decent DPI on my mouse when 1600DPI mice have been around over a decade now.

I have a 1600 dpi mouse. I put the sensitivity to around 3/10 on literally every game I play. Give or take.

I did *not* move the sensitivity on this one, and ... works just fine. Also this thread issue is from months ago presumably before any patching went in.

NO developer should ever be held accountable for YOUR decision to play with a sluggish or too-fast input device. It's in YOUR hand. The options are there. Use them. That's what they're FOR.

Nice rez, but I always have to laugh when my 8 dollar Amazon mouse outperforms these tryhards with their R6 Siege pro $100 Corsair computer mice

Just use your million dollar config utilities that come for your million dollar mice, it's not like the game requires more than a gamepad anyway, there are literally multiple ways to freeze or slow time

Logitech G703 (Hero sensor, goes up to 25.6k DPI) user. If I want to control my aim with wide mouse strokes in this game as I'm generally used to in other first-person titles, I have to set the DPI to 1000 in Logitech's software and lower the in-game sensitivity as far as it will go. I didn't have this issue with Doom 2016 or Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus which were released around the same time, for example. This is just sheer laziness on part of the developer.

Oh yeah, forgot to add this - with that setup, controlling the character's aim works quite alright, but moving the cursor around in menus is ridiculously sluggish.
That's right.
Creating a special profile for this game and lowering the DPI does not solve the problem of the slow in-game cursor.
To solve this, the cursor sensitivity on the OS side must also be changed.
This is very silly.
Normally 1600 DPI, but for this game the sensitivity was set to 0 and then lowered to 600 DPI.
