Cant get it to launch at all

Everytime I attempt to launch the game the screen goes completely black and just sits there.

system:
Windows 10 (64bit)
24GB Memory
AMD FX8320 processor
AMD R9 380 video card

Video Driver version 17.5.1

Nobody is responding to these. Not on the official website either. they have no idea, and it isn't common, so were f'd for now.

I rolled back to an earlier driver and it works, but I'm on Nvidia, still worth a try.

I have verified the files, ran as admin.... same thing every time.... click on play, screen goes black and stays there. Have to restart the computer to close it.

I deleted that config file and still no change. I am going to completely uninstall and reinstall.... doubt it will change anything....

I did. For some reason when I upgraded to Windows 10, it defaulted my processor to duel core and only recognized 2 processors. I have an AMD FX 8320 that has 8 cores... Once i realized this, I went into bios and optimised the settings and it is now running all 8 as it is supposed to. Prey now launches without an issue and everything runs much better.
