You can use a suit repair kit. They're located everywhere.

Alternatively, look for an engineering operator. They will repar your suit.

I have severeal things that look like suit repair kit in my inventory, but they're labeled spare parts. in the focus wheel, (where it lists quick keys for weapons, medkits, food, etc) the key 'Z' is for quit repair, but it lists 0 and says i don't have any. I've even lookup up where to find them and i've been to those locations, but to no avail. is my game broken?

No those are a seperate item used for repairing everything else, the thing you have 0 of is what you need. Or an orange operator robot.

You don't really need a suit repair until you have to go outside. You should run into an engineering operator before then (you may have to hack an operator station to activate one). Many of the ones that you see will be corrupted, but you can activate a fresh one. Same with medical and science operator stations.

I save my suit repair kits in case I get attacked outside and need to repair a leaky suit. There are plenty of engineering operators for indoor repairs.
