In real life it is a lot more natural to do quick turns during sprint and your body slows down automatically to make up for the damn turning, not the other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ way around. My neck doesn't turn slower when I want to turn, I am not a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ truck. My legs however start to move slower AUTOMATICALLY IRL when I try to turn, as it should ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ be in games as well.
It would make it more immersive and natural, but no we have ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ naysayers like you giving the developers a bad idea of what is natural and what isn't because you "Make do" with the ♥♥♥♥ you got.
What they need to do is properly simulate the player character's physics (inertia and all that jazz), like they did in freaking System Shock one, what, 3 decades ago?
Edit: to be clear, the physics calculations on the player model were quite basic and not a "full- on" sim, but the PC had a working physics model. Thanks, Seamus Blackley (and no, i did not need to look that up!)
it really destroys the gaming experience

I don't understand why anyone ever talked about this magnificent software.
You can still turn your head while sprinting.
