Psychoscope door ?

I'm at the Psychotronics where i have to access the g.u.t.s. as i approach a glass door it says "Psychoscope required beyond this point" and i cannot go forward.
Isn't the psychoscope the helmet that i can zoom in using "z" ? What am i supposed to do ?
