[PERFORMANCE ISSUE] Fps drops while looking through glass windows - SOLVED
I've got some fps drops while looking through glass windows and glass panels

Everything is maxed and at 1080p @ 60 fps, except for those

Rig:

i7 4790k
ASUS GTX 960 4GB
16 GB DDR3 1600
hdd
win7 x64
382.05 driver

The issue is only mitigated when I reduce screen space occlusion and screen space reflection

Any clues?

Thanks!

EDIT: the solution posted here by @ActionOfLost solved the issue. If you've the same issue do what he said here!

Nice to know I'm not the only one with this issue

Do you mind to say your system specifications here?

Have you found any workaround for this issue? =S

Different PC configurations not always behave the same =S

Waiting to see if anyone else have this problem

I had this issue and solved it by adding the following:

d3d10_TripleBuffering = 1
d3d11_TripleBuffering = 1
d3d9_TripleBuffering = 1

r_MotionBlur = 0 (this one, only because I don't like that effect)

In "C:\Users\{YOUR_USERNAME}\Saved Games\Arkane Studios\Prey\game.cfg

I'll try this and tell you later =)

It worked! Thank you so much, ActionOfLost! =D

Where did you find this fix? ^^

Those are standard parameter for the CryEngine (use by Prey), I suspected VSync to be the issue and the extra frame of TB correct this.

Will most likely be patch soon. since it look more like an issue between the engine and the driver.

yo, had a lot of issue, scrolling grafic when i look around,everywhere/always.. i'm very disappointed ,for exemple Mass Effect and Ghost Recon Wild work at the Max grafix on my PC:-

MSI GeForce GTX 1080 ARMOR 8G OC, 8 Go
Intel Core i7-6700K (4.0 GHz)
Gigabyte Z170-Gaming K3
DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LPX, Noir, 16 Go, CAS 14
Crucial MX300, 275 Go, M.2
Acer Predator XB271HUAbmiprz G-Sync 165Hz 4K

i've tried lot of change :

4K + MAX gfx = same issue

4K + High gfx = same issue

1080 + very High = same issue

1080 + High gfx = same issue

have the last Nvidia Driver + SSD install , i dont know what to do ...

Do you mean screen tearing (top and bottom half dont show the same frame) or shuttering (screen hang on the same frame)?

Also, what FPS do you have generally in a non-moving scene?

no, its just a scrolling of the image,a fall down of the velocity of the image. Its very strange cause i push on top left of the screen the FPS count and its always good (80Fps/100Fps) even when all the scene slow down..

I'm not sure I understand (or know), that kind of graphical glitch. One thing, some people have complain that the latest driver of NVidia is causing some issue (I have it, test it with the previous one, no change), you might want to DDU to 381 to see if in your case it solve the issue.
