How to disable motion blur?
Hey guys. Is there a way I can disable motion blur? I can't find it anywhere in the game.cfg file.

Since this is the top google result, here's how to disable motion blur in prey:

Go to this folder (you can paste the following into Windows Explorer's address bar):
%UserProfile%\Saved Games\Arkane Studios\Prey

Right click game.cfg and select edit. Use notepad if asked.
Add this line:

r_MotionBlur = 0

Save and exit.

As Gollum points out in PatientLandBeaver's link, the game.cfg file is overwritten whenever you make a change to the in-game video settings. You can prevent this by right clicking the game.cfg file and setting the read only check box. If you need to make subsequent changes, you'll have to uncheck read only on the game.cfg file's properties sheet.

Does a lot of cool stuff. Including a motion blur option.

What a shame that adding a line of text to a config file doesn't actually change anything

If you read the post above you would notice that making it read-only will ensure the game doesn't overwrite your changes.

Do NOT alter the game.cfg.
Instead, create an autoexec.cfg,.Where and how:
