Prey 2006 and Prey 2017, Im excited.

I understand Prey 2006 was enjoyed by people, but it was DEFINITELY nothing special from any other xbox 360 release in 2006, a shooter, decent story with aliens, okay gameplay. People are saying boycott Prey 2017 because its not a sequel to 2006 Prey and they used the name for sales da da da da, but a majority of the people that I see that want to play this new Prey all make comparisons to Bioshock Systemshock and Dead Space. Im not saying these 3 games are better or any different from Prey 2006, but IMO they are cult classics, there is just something about them that alot of people enjoy, they have a WAY stronger community behind them than the original Prey or people who wanted Prey 2 imo. If you enjoyed Bioshock systemshock or dead space like i said, give it a shot. if you never really played those games than I understand completely if you dont want anything to do with it lol. Its all preference.

This is not a "new direction" or even a "re-imagining"! look at Tomb Raider, DOOM and Battlestar Galactica: that is the way you really make a re-imagining -- you present the characters and events of the original in a new way. This game, this so-called "Prey" just ignores the events of the original game in favor of trapping the players in a space station overrun with the most dumbest aliens ever created and present us with a series of gameplay mechanics already used in several games! Now, I don't know about you, but I don't need of such kind of "re-imagining"in my life!

Prey 2006 gets a solid 6.5 to me. It had enough action for someone to continue to play it, but it guns you'll never use, story had too many "no fear of dying" references. Its ehh. Enjoyable but definitely nothing special. Prey 2 looked kinda fun but bounty hunting 24/7 would get boring. This Prey coming out soon will be far more superior.
