PREY vs HITMAN

Which game should i get and why?
I only have a few hours to make a decision pls help!
( I have never tried games like prey but it looks good )
PLS PLS HELP!!

that is about as stupid as asking if you should buy a pickup or a car. those games are nothing alike and will provide completely different game play experiences. there are ♥♥♥♥ tons of reviews and/or videos so not sure what the heck you expect to hear here that cant be deduced in a few minutes of research...

I agree, their nothing alike. I am just asking as im really torn between these two games...there ARE tons of reviews as you say, but there are both positive and negative. Honestly i trust steam players more than SOME reviewers. Thus i thought it would be nice if someone who has played both can help me decide on which one to get.

Hitman is in third person wich always is a huge minus in these type of games imo. YMMV.
(For some reason the first two Max Payne games worked well in third though - possibly because they were so allround brilliant?)

I don't mind third-person. It is really fun,also you get a better view!

Makes it much less immersive, less exciting and/or scary imo - feels somewhat consoleish.
(Not talking about Diablo style games though, of course)

well Hitman can be found for dirt cheap on some key sites and is fully patched. this game will cost a bit more and I think it has at least another patch or two in its future. so if you just want something right now then get Hitman and then get this game down the road...

If you have a decent machine Prey is really nice with headphones and in the dark. HItman... is... well it's ok. You get to choke people out and wear disguises. I liked both. There is also a Steam sale coming up. To answer I suppose though I would say get PREY unless you have older hardware... then I would say save money and instead buy better hardware then save up and buy both? Wow.... this is not helpful. Buy PREY, just... do it! NOW!

If you want a stealth game, get Hitman.
If you want a shooter.... Pick something else.

Did you play and like System Shock 2? You'll probably like Prey. If you played and liked Bioshock it's very likely you'll like Prey. If you assume every first person perspective game is to be played by bum rushing enemies and just shooting things till they die then you probably won't like Prey.

hitman is a way better game. more to do its more fun. I would suggest hitman absouliution. Titanfall2 is another game thats worth the money. Bioshock 1 was good, dishonored 2 is worth one playthrough, the first dishonored with dlc is a fantastic journey. Prey was aweful, it started out so good to but it lacks in everyway, and to compare it to systemshock 2 you cant. i mean unless you say they are both in space. Surival in systemshock 2 was harder, the gaem was scarier, the music was great and actully was more then one song. Just throwing this out there fewar3 can be a rewarding experince its a great shooter. Prey was such a peice, if it wasnt bugged on this oen quest i probably finish it. the monsters are so unimarginative, and I compare prey to clive barkers undying, except clive barkers was so much better.

umm as far as fun and story and replayablilty i say hitman is a better choice, Prey sucks, it copudl have been great but sadly its a reskin like battlefield hardline. Its bioshock but worse, the only thing cool was the begining then it just lost its direction. I picked it up when it is was released yet wish i didnt not enough content, and it should hve been classified as a maze since maps are pretty useless and a pain to keep going back to. Prey just a bad rushed game that had a great idea for a story then somehow they said whatever its just a way to train a grabage collector.

Hitman since Square are still adding content to the game whereas Prey is garbage as it's just a crappy System Shock knockoff with a cliche sci fi story.
