Using the console

Sadly the console is disabled ingame, but there is another way to do this with cryengine games that a lot of devs forget to disable. The remote console. Once its started it will automatically connect to a local instance of a cryengine game.
You can either get it by downloading cryengine via their launcher (it will be in the tools folder of the engine isntallation) or get it from my onedrive:

You can do fun stuff like turning of gravity everywhere :)

It also has autocompletion for most commands and your can search for them by putting ? in front of a phrase or get more information about them by putting a ? after the command.

the infinite ammo command works. i think its g_infiniteammo 1

I saw a command called "pl_infiniteneuromods" when I typed "?neuromod". I assumed by the name that it'd either give infinite neuromods or it would eliminate neuromod costs, but every time I set it to 1, it immediately resets to 0. Any advice on that?

Sure, they set it to be unchangeable. They have made sure that alot of commands dont work. You cant even enable godmode but it seems they overlooked the infinite ammo command.

Infinite ammo might be the one that could possibly fix the game for me. I'll look into it.

This stuff should have been in the options menu. Oh well, this is PC - if the game is broken, we fix it ourselves.

Im sorry, but I cannot give you any credit for posting this thread. There is absolutely no point in opening up a remote Cryengine console, godmode doesnt work, notarget doesnt work, infinite health doesnt work, nothing works, not only does it not work, but I cant even type anything, this is totally useless, whats the point of posting this thread when your way of opening up a console simply doesnt work, you didnt even respond to any of the questions here because you clearly dont know the solutions

Infinite ammo works. Even if you have no ammo in your inventory. I don't know if it works for grenades because I havn't tried it, but you can recycle the ammo and get all the neuromods and other supplies you could need. As for not being able to type anything, I don't know what could be causing that.

I have found another solution and it works, I can now have god mode and all other things available

1. Download this file https://files .fm/u/gpaqdhef its a compilation of scripts for a program called Cheat Engine
2. Download and install Cheat Engine http://www.cheatengine.org
3. After installing Cheat Engine, double click on the file in the first step
4. After you opened that file, open up a game of Prey and enter the game
5. Minimize the game, dont close it, it needs to stay open, and in the left upper corner of Cheat Engine, click on the Computer icon
6. Find the prey.exe and select it, you will get asked a question, press Yes
7. After you selected prey.exe and the Cheat Engine loaded variables for Prey, you will see below in Cheat Engine ''God Mode'', and under value it will be '' 0 '', put value to '' 2 '', and voila, you have a God mode now, theres also other scripts in the same file for infinite ammo, health, stamina, and all other stuff

No problem, yeah, I found it on some random forum, registered so that all info could be revelead, and turns out it actually works, wasnt some random bogus
