You can also use Machine Mind on any turrets they have with them.
Yes i believe they can disable stun guns for a short period of time too because i was unable to shoot at it even if my gun was fully charged
Awesome thing about this game though is you can approach a problem in many ways, as proven by this thread.
If it's early game, don't try. Just sneak by. You'll just waste resources.
If you've got a Q-Beam, use that. It's the quickest way. If you don't, find one.
The wrench upgrades are awesome. Also, infinite ammo there.
If you want to hit from far away, invest in the super-strength mod, the one that let's you throw everything. Not only is it infinite ammo (because you can throw everything for big damage), but large objects also form cover. And, if placed correctly, prevent the enemy AI from moving in range to kill you. The Typhon AI isn't nearly as good at maneuvering around obstacles as you are.
Don't worry, late-game you'll be smacking them down left and right. It'll feel nice.
Did a human powers only run on my first try. I tried everything. Then I found the stun gun is super effective. I only upgraded (fully) the stun gun and the shotgun. If you upgrade the stun guns' stun duration, and even just a single shotgun ammo capacity, you can get off 5 shots EASY while the thing is incapped.
If you are using powers, I think it's the pyschoshock (typhon equalivaent of the stun gun).
I wouldn't bother using turrets against it as it will destroy them and/or turn them against you.
If you see one with turrets on it, you pretty much have to lead off with the EMP nade or electric typhon attack (psychosock?). Otherwise, just evade it until you are geared enough to beat it.
Alternatively, Leverage III items make cheesing him ridiculously easy.
Only things I run away from are the Nightmares, just because it takes too much ammo.
Telepaths on the other hand...
