Maybe you should read up on the weaknesses enemies have.
Radeon R9 380 4GB up to date my drivers.
Motion in general deals with cystoids. My weapon of choice for them is the huntress crossbow (yes it does zero damage, but it launches a physical projectile that the cystoids will go after and self destruct on).
Weavers are incredibly annoying until you read their research and understand how they work. They put up a shield that makes damaging them with standard weapons incredibly difficult, but things like the q-beam (and I believe the psi skills) pierce the shield and will make short work of them.
If nothing else, generally speaking, the weavers aren't too interested in attacking you. Equip farscope if you have it, fire off some foam darts to pop the cystoids, and then stick to the dark corners while you scan. As long as you don't run straight in and get point-blank, the weavers with mostly ignore you (this is how I got through this section on my no-needles run)
Use Huntress Boltcaster on cystoids. Q-Beam on Weavers.
Float slowly, don't provoke them too much.
I wish I wouldve brought more Q-Beam ammo with me previously, it probably wouldve helped a lot. The Weavers almost always popped off group of cystoids as soon as I entered the hatches. One was even right outside of the 2nd hatch, which made it somewhat difficult to get in but I was able to scare the weaver off pretty easily. Pretty much what I ended up doing was going through the hatch and immediately popping a few pistol shots at the weaver, and it made them float away from me as fast as they could and only spawned one batch of cystoids which I killed with my gluegun, after I was away from the weavers I was able to get a scan of the Coral. I just ran into one of those moments where I didnt have a lot of health and didnt really have a whole lot of ways to get any back, so once the cystoids attached to me I was literally ♥♥♥♥♥♥ no matter what I did. Glad I made it through that part though, I'm excited to finally finish the game.
Dont be, i also never thought about it. I always used the Gloo Gun to deal with Csytoids which also worked ok but costs a lot of ammunition. Felt stupid when i read about using the boltcaster.
I think many people just think of the boltcaster as a joke and never really try to use it for different things.
Yeah, I used the boltcaster once to open a locked door through a tiny slot in a window. That was about it, good to know that theres a little more than that to use it for!
