Seconded.
They talked about these being to much and also stated there will be a patch to costomize difficulty settings, but i see no reason why these annoying mechanics should be brought back. You yourself haven't even given a reason.
As for the source of mine.

The reason? I found the game too easy even on nightmare mode. (And I'm not the only one). Ended up with about 30 medkits.
I don't see why it's a problem for you if theses are optional.
As for the too easy question, like in any other game before make up your own rules and limitations to give you a challenge!
I've known about that before the game was even released and I already watched the interview when it came out.
What's your point?
That's not an excuse at all. If it's in the game, then it should be balanced. Sure I could play the whole game with only the wrench and not using any neuromod but that's not how I want to play it.
Again, what's your point? Why does it bother you if Arkane make theses features optional?
The game is designed as a bit of a horror game, and along those lines ir draws in the challenge-loving crowd who throw themselves at having their digital limbs ripped apart.
Some have complained that the game difficulty is far too easy for them, and that what seems to be just numerical adjustment doesn't offer much more challenge to someone who has discovered recycling methods and takedown methods to preserve loads of materials without any exploits or cheating.
So I feel that this might be the easiest way to address both of that, by offering an additional mode that includes bodily injury.
i played on hard difficulty as a classic fps and i can say its challenging .....you can add whatever you want ....like dont use food etc etc !
there is no need for additional survival elements - this is a FPS !
also the military operator sucks, should've given them some high damage atk or something.
There in Hardware's breach, getting a bit Oxygen Deprived would make sense, where your actions would become a bit sluggish.
But again, this should all be OPTIONAL for folks to use, so additional dangerous elements for a frightful location in the first place should be welcome for variety!
Suit leakage during EVA and limited air time - definitely should be optional, but for those who want another layer of WTF atop of spacewalk combat/travel, I'd say go ahead and add it.
