Weird Note bug in Labs B?

So in this place:

And after picking up all/most of the them, I still get a prompt for them all over in this room, like so:

Even though there are no more notes, it still says "Note" and let's me pick up invisible notes I guess.

I've picked up supposedly a couple dozen at least but they don't show up in my inventory, I had hoped maybe they were a material I could recycle or something but I don't know where they go to, I imagine the Data tab but there's nothing in there either.

I know they are useles and this bug is far from game breaking or anything, just figured I'd share it.

I haven't seen this bug at all, but you reminded me.. [sorry for off topic, but i think its worth it]

I replaced the items in the boxes that the mimic in the other room.. mimics (where there are 3 buttons and the computer w/ nullwave). One item had one of those 'Not A Mimic' notes on it.. and the mimic turned into that note!

I couldn't get a good shot of what it said for a screenshot, but it had me laughing that a mimic was a note that said 'Not a Mimic'!

Yeah, I got this note bug in the Lab too. Thankfully it's the only bug I've encountered so far.

On pretty much every flat surface you are prompted to pick up a note, even though there are no notes. You click F to pick up a note, move slightly and the prompt to pick up a note reappears. It's like the room is covered in invisible notes. It's a minor nuisance, is all.

Had the same issue, glad it was only in there

It's an internal joke - plenty of photos of the developers putting these notes everywhere ;-) And yes, I think the level designers just went wild with the notes placement - some are actually invisible from my experience. Anyway, they have no significance in the game.

Same here. I've older screenshots of those ghost notes. I had no idea where they would go, why they'd appear seemingly endlessly in the floor, nor what to do about anything to do with any of it. lol Sep 2020

Note: I'm on game+ and my ghost note experience was my first run through.

I just got the same bug... "invisible notes" all over the the place!!!!

my ocd caused me to pick them ALL up!!!!!!!!!!! lol, I think I got them all?
