LIMBO Linux issues
I can't get past the first 10 minutes of gameplay. Everything freezes, my keyboard inputs stop working, framerate drops, (I know my GPU is capable of running the game).

I know, at least I can play on linux, but please for the love of god make native linux support version, this undercover wine thing is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t. Make some effort for us that play the game on linux. I can't recommend this game to anyone now and I don't like that because I'd like to recommend Linux games to other people.

Having that said, I will downgrade back to original resolution, but I EXPECT A PATCH and I EXPECT ONE SOON. The game's been out for a long time now.

Why don't you go cry about how you miss your start menu to Steve Ballmer eh?

Make sure it's not you (sounds like overheating), and if not ask support (system spec, terminal output not just "it doesn't work fix it"). Have patience they gave free keys which means they will be up to their necks in support tickets.

Yeah, I'm rinning this on a laptop, Intel Core i7 4702MQ, Nvidia Geforce GT750M 4GB GDDR5, 12GB RAM. As for the software, I use Linux Mint 17.3 Rosa with recommended Linux 3.19.0-32-generic kernel. The GPU uses proprietary Nvidia driver, version 352.63. The renerer is OpenGL 4.5.

I managed to solve the issue though, went into settings and forced 30Hz and windewed mode, by setting both parameters to "true". Since I got past the original issue, I'll try enabling the fullscreen mode and try playing again.

The Steam Linux is native, no Wine

Since I got past the cutscene, I have no problems anymore, fullscreen works just fine atm and I have my framerate capped to 30Hz. Thank you for your suggestions!

Sounds to me it overheated running the game at max possible fps and downclocked everything to protect hardware. If you don't know there is an option in Steam > In-Game to show fps in a corner so you can avoid this issue. I cap all my games at 60 and 75 for shooters.

I'm late to the party but may I ask you a question: How do you cap your games at 60 FPS? Is it possible with all games? Does it depend on Steam launch options or the game's config files? Thanks!

1. Vertical sync (vsync) - option in game available in most games, sometimes only available in game console or config file, sets frame rate to monitor refresh rate
2. Max frames - sometimes option in game but usually set via command in game console or game config file

Look in options and if you can't find vertical sync, just Google game name and limit framerate. 5 minute research is enough to find out how and enable this for any game.

What this guy said. I had to manually edit the config file for Limbo.
