how bad are the spider encounters in this game

alright ive got super bad arachnophobia and even just the outline of a spider freaks me the ♥♥♥♥ out if it's well animated. how long do the spider segments in this game last? are spider sightings confined to a specific part of the game and how long do you have to deal with them? i'm definitely willing to just let someone play through the spider part if it's largely one isolated portion of the game and look away when it gets bad- is that realistic?

Spider is encountered several times not far from the beginning, in the first 10-15 minutes, I think 3-4 locations. Not continuously, with some non-spider parts between. And once that spider is dead you're good to go.
Overall spider part is quite small relative to the whole game. It's animated quite well.

I have arachnophobia as well (for example, I absolutely cannot approach Spiders in Skyrim). The spiders in LIMBO freaked me out at first, but I got used to them. It's not all that bad. There's no spider jumpscares.

thanks! spiders in skyrim are a great benchmark for what i can't handle :) i think i'll try to get my dad to play and just watch

Man, I could never use Skyrim's spiders as a benchmark.
Frostbite spiders? Cozy. I actually admire their realism.
This game's spider? Neat.
Itty bitty real spider in the room with me? AUGJFHGCHD NOPE!
