Does it works on Windows 10?
Hello,
I have simple question, if anyone could answer me.
Does this game works on Windows 10 with newest NVIDIA GeForce 910M with dedicated VRAM and Intel Pentium Quad Core Processor N3710?

You may have to download a custom memory patch.

I run a 2x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080, Intel Core i7-6700K, 32 GB RAM, etc. and I had to download the memory patch in order for the game to work.

Unfortunately, compatability issues with newer hardware and older games is strange – some specific rigs can run certain older games while others will have issues.

I recommend trying out the demo version you can download on steam. If you can run that, you will be able to run the full game. If you cannot run the demo without encountering graphical issues, you will most likely need the custom memory patch.

Ok, thank you very much. I also wanted to play my old Cossacks 2: Battle for Europe, but it has massive lags during tactical gameplay (battles etc.), my brother bought HAE few weeks ago, he has the same computer and it works fine. I thought that Cossacks seems to be similar, but unfortunately its not... Anyway thank you again for advice.

Using the gog.com version, but I am gonna assume it's the same build. Works without any problems for me.

I just bought the game today after reading reviews that most people had no problems running it on Win10. I try to launch the game and it doesn't even launch for me, no error messages or anything like that. It just says "running" for a few seconds and then stops. I am SO BUMMED out cause I was really looking forward to playing it. :( Nvidia GTX 945 i7-4760 with 16GB. Warning: I am a bit old for a gamer and I am clueless to some of the most basic technical terms lol. I spent like an hour looking for fixes online and tried one but to no avail. :( Hope someone can help me somehow! :D Thanks so much in advance! <3

Yes it works on windows 10, as quoted previously activate direct play on windows 10 to make it run. In windows 10 right click windows logo left bottom, select apps, next scroll to bottom and select programs and features, next select turn windows features off or on, now sroll in window that opens and select directplay and finally click ok at bottom. Now go back and run the game and enjoy! Very unique game in look and full of features. In windows 7 the intro movie played ,but it didnt for me in windows 10. Is VERY GOOD INTRO! Steam devs please fix this if you read these posts.

Hi iceq! :D It works! :D Thank you so very much! I actually did follow the steps quoted earlier but it wasn't as clear as yours and left out one part that you should check. You could say it's mostly my fault because I didn't click on the + sign and click on the directplay part. Thank you sooooo very much for taking the time to type out everything for me very thoroughly and step by step. Only slightly annoying thing(not a huge deal)but it seems like I'm gonna have to readjust the resolution every time after I log out to play. Oh one last thing. Can I leave the directplay checked, like will it affect other games do you know? Or will I have to uncheck that every time as well? Thank you again my friend! <3

Where is this patch?
