yeah this is correct. select record an album from activities and then go through this area selecting what & who you require. once you have finished it, you can release it and also release singles from it.
personally havent worked out to make money yet though, i have no idea how many to produce etc
Yea but I've done that, and I can't release
On the left side will be the pool of artists, I believe it's set to "Social Network" by default (acts your band has worked with, label mates, etc). Unchecking the social box will let you pick from all acts in the game. The "Color Mapping" allows you to see the acts relationships to others (red being dislike, green being like).
Since you can't really tell if an artist will actually work with you or not (for me even "Friendships" and "Dating" relationships did not want to collab), it may be helpful to add several acts to the collaboration. Then when you click "Confirm" it will tell you which acts REJECTED the collaboration and you can delete those ones and keep on the person you want. This for me is quicker than going through different acts until you find one that says yes. You can also change the name of the song at the bottom if you wish before clicking confirm.
Sorry this is long -- I think the process should be simplified a bit -- but hopefully this helps.
