Final Code Puzzle Help...

Can someone help with this; We might be getting this wrong but bare with with...

Both times we have got to the final puzzle it has been the code puzzle, the only thing that makes sense to us is that the code resets if you leave the puzzle to do other players actions... the puzzle records previous guesses but these seem irrelevant so the only way to decipher the puzzle is to cheat the number of guesses you should be allowed by the rules... anyone else get what i am saying?

All of the puzzles are supposed to remember their state when you leave and come back. This allows different investigators to work on the puzzle. It should NOT reset when you go back to the normal tile layout.

If a puzzle is resetting between interactions, that's a bug. I've never seen it, though.

Not every colour or sign has to be in the solution. A colour or sign might be repeated in the solution. Hope that helps.

Thanks for comments, think we had a bug, the puzzle was resetting between interactions, re-install seems to have fixed the issue. Hope this helps anyone as this was rather frustrating and nearly ruined the game for us. If anyone does have this issue, give re-install a try, otherwise this is a great game that provides endless hours of fun.
