Is conversion Kit enough to actually play 1st edition?

I noticed conversion Kit is included in game, but to me looks like first edition is colpletely playable using the conversion kit, as all old monsters can be placed on map (whitout miniatures, but i don't really care), and players can use any of the 8 miniatures to represent their old characters.
Listed map tiles seems to be all in the actual 2nd edition (aren't them?)... Character and monsters stats are all present, events are generated by the app, and looks like even characters exclusive items are in the deck.

Is first edition a must to play old adventures? Or is it just taking more miniatures?
And what is the actual gameplay advantage for first edition owners?

The first edition was 1 vs all game that had totaly different cards both for the keeper and the investigators. You also would be laking the senerios for the first edition, and where to lay the item cards.

Now you can use the conversion kit to play the second edition stories. With the conversion kit if you use proxies for the map tiles without getting the expansion, it won't look as good but several people have done this.

I noticed later the two expansion packs for second edition are actually a collection of first edition stuff :D
