Gender Confusion

Hey, having trouble with this recent installation.

The dialogue for my characters is all messed up. My character is being refered to be both genders, ie in the Human Noble origin Dad is refering to me as his Daughter (despite being male) while Howe's guards ask me if I'm the Terynr's son. It's becoming very frustrating. I have mods installed, but none that alter the files, just dazip's. Even when I turn them all off (including the DLC) the mistakes continue. I tried reinstalling the game but there hasn't been a change. In fact it still has all my Mods/DLC in the Downloadable Content tab, which makes me thing it wasn't getting a fresh install from the site.

If anyone knows how to fix this, or even force the game to recongize you as a certain gender through console commands, I'd really appreciate it, because I'm at a lost as to what may be wrong.

This is problem is almost certainly caused by a modification. The reason yours are still there after an uninstall is because the uninstall doesn't remove the Dragon Age: Origins folders in My Documents or your steamapps/common folder in your Steam directory. Uninstall again and then remove both of those folders and the problem should resolve itself. Then you just have to add the mods back in one at a time until the problem shows up again.

It sounds like you need to have an intervention with Dad so he can see the man you have become.

Yes it did. Apparently it was a problem that happened a few times in the PC version regardless of mods. I fixed it by using a mod that switched your gender, actually.
