Played Dragon Age on consoles, better on PC?
Dragon Age: Origins is perhaps one of my favorite games of all time, I played it over and over on my Xbox 360. What I'm wondering is if I should get it on PC. It's been a while since I've played it and I havn't gotten any of the extra content packs other than awakening. My main question though is is this better than the console versions? I'm not really speaking in terms of graphics but in general would I have fun on this game on PC or would it be too similiar to the console version? I really loved the first Dragon Age, the second one not so much. Anyways is it significantly better or is it just a port type situation?

And then there's mods, which can expand your gameplay far further. And enabling dev console always makes it more fun once you played through the game legit a few times.

Well I went ahead and added the necesarry amount of cash to my account, but one question, what are the odds this would go on sale on the steam summer sale? I don't want to get it now and find it on sale for much cheeper later.

Yeah just wait for summer sale or buy it from a trading website. And it most likely will be on sale in the summer.

pc version jettmano is much better then console one, i spend around 130hours on console, then i got it on pc and i realise how much time and gameplay i wasted playing da on my xbox, game is definitly designe for pc gameplay, more challanging and most important more tactical, you wont regret it buying da on pc even now, thou it may come on summer sales, who knows

PC versions are always better than console versions. Always.

It was meant for PC. The mechanics of the game work much better on PC than on a console, imho.

And it's very likely to go on sale during the summer sale, so I would wait until it's cheaper just to save some money.

I bought it on sale during the Winter Sales. Was 75% off. So not sure if it will be summer, but I would wait. I have just started playing it for the first time, and I am very happy for my cheap purchase haha.

I tried to wait but I ended up buying it anyways. Completely worth it though, the PC version is far more preferable. I didn't expect to be pausing combat so much and using the top down camera so often, it's very different than the console versions, not too mention it looks a good deal better.

Definitely does get a discount during Summer or Winter sales. Last sale it was 75% and even in the last year Autumn sale it was 50% twice.
But since you already bought it, it doesn't matter!
Enjoy the PC experience, far superior than on consoles! :D

Check out the mod community on Nexus Mods and enjoy. Main reason pretty much every RPG ever is better on the PC.

I have a decent bit of mods downloaded already, better atmosphere is one of them, the others are slipping my mind for some reason, if you have any suggestions please let me know, anything that will make my game a bit different from the last time I've played it would be nice.

Almost all RPGs are better on PC.

Played both on PC and console (Xbox 360). It is almost the same. On PC I get little bit different feeling from combat - less action, more "turn-based". I liked PC a little bit more, but both versions are similary awesome.

Also on PC you have modding, but for me, mods just ruin the game, so I cannot recommend them.
