DAO console vs PC

I remember reading sometime a while back that there were significant differences between the console and pc releases of this game. I seem to remember it regarding the AI or customisable battle algorythms or somesuch.

My question is: what are your opinions of this game and what differences are there, and whch, if any, make this worth picking up during this steam deal?

PC has better framerate, better graphics, better controls (because of all the abilities) and better UI for character switching and tactics management. DA:O is just a fantastic RPG, one of the best I have played to date, it is very MMO style on the PC as opposed to consoles which feels more action focused. In fact having a mage on the console version was dull because of the lack of controls and the ability to weild ten different powers at once. I have played PS3 version versus PC and the PC is just much more suitable. Watch a youtube video and see it.

PC is better for every reason including the ability to MOD the game. I don't think I would have gotten as many play throughs as I have if I had not installed the Skip The Fade mod... because as awesome as this game is that part of the game blows hard.

haha yup, I'll look into that for my next play through.

I would honestly recommend new players to install that mod...If people realllly want to experience the fade, go ahead, but trust is, its looooong and not exciting at all!
