How can I give a gift to a party member?

Inventory, switch to the desired character by using arrows above currently selected's head, drag and drop the gift from inventory to the character you want to give it to.

Alternatively, select the desired character as above, then right click the gift and the left option will be to give the item as a gift. It's even shaped like a gift box.

This works best at the camp, where you can select all of your companions. When in the field, you can only give gifts to the 3 companions currently with you.

I can't give gifts at the camp, can't switch to other characters at camp...

in the character window there is a right and left arrow either side of their name..

you can gift them in the camp, use the arrows next to your name. then scroll to the gift you want to give hold left mouse butten and pull to the left. hope it helps.
