I agree it is an slow part, but I personally like solving that puzzles. I personally never skip this quest, because I like the forms I can change in, and use that to progress..
the ones that give detailed instructions on how to solve it seem like just random babbleing and i didn;t find them very helpfull.
after i solved it by just stumbling around, i could understand why the detailed instructions were just scrambled statements, the puzzle is solved by just random rambling and there is no easily described CORRECT way to solve it.
each tim i go through it i have no idea how i solved it the last time and it's like the first time through it again.
maybe i'm just dull witted!
Probably just me that enjoys the fade lol. I thought it was a nice break from the rest of the game but it does slow the pace of the game a lot and can be slightly confusing the first time.
Loved it years ago, and found myself enjoying shifting through the forms on Nightmare difficulty. I wished you got to keep the forms, the Golem is lots of fun.
