Is there a penalty for going to the bracilian forest before saving redcliff village i want the arcane enchanter specilazation early on so is there a penalty?

If you entered redcliff and started the quest to help with its defence and leave then Yes you will recive a "penalty" but if you havent enterded it yet then you are free to go to the forest

What is your definition of "penalty" im a bit confused. There's no specific order in which area to visit first after Lothering. I particualry did what you're about to do and visited the Bracilian forest questline right after Lothering.

BLACKSTONE IRREGULARS : "Scraping the Barrel quest"
But there is one minor detail you need to cover before completely finished the Main quest at the (Forest OR mainquest at Redcliff OR mainquest at Tower) (spoiler) before its too late. If you havnt already, you must go back to Lothering and talk to the [Patter Gritch - Recruit ]in the Lothering chantry, do so will complete 1of3 people u must speak to complete Scraping the Barrel quest.


Good news:
Going straight to Forest after Lothering.

You'll get to be able to obtain the Archane Warrior specilaization.
Nice upgrade for Lelianna : Powerful Bow (quest reward) and chest piece.
Nice upgrade for you as well but its up to you to discover them.
Morrigan also gets a new attire.

I like to do redcliff last. I also do all DLC first ^^

When you first enter Redcliff you have a conversation with the gate man. That is the redcliff line of no return.

You need to have Coercion skill, not sure if you need level 1 or 2, without it you will not be able to get the Green Blade

Coercion is a must get for the Warden. It just opens up so so much opportunity. Plus your Warden character is only party member able to obtain it. No brainer.

I sometimes don't bother with getting it just to make the game more interesting

if you are doing arcane warrior i recommend going to the circle of magi before redcliff for the stat boost

The Blackstone regulars don't appear at Redcliff until after you complete the defense of Redcliff and Lothering is always greyed out at that time for me. I thought it was odd to have a recruit at Lothering and I didn't remember having to do that in my previous playthroughs.
