looks like it expired on the 14th this month
if you had it, it should still be on the ea acct
edit:
did you get the dlc from steam or ea?
edit:
https://social.bioware.com
log into ea if you got the dlc thru them
pick on my profile -> your registered game content
https://social.bioware.com/user_entitlements.php
then download all of the pc/mac dlc
some will have a download link on the page,
others will say more info and have a download link
some are exe files, run them and pick the dragon age install location
default is
c:\program files...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Dragon Age...
many are .dazip files
browse to your dragon age origins install location, open bin_zip
SteamApps\common\Dragon Age Ultimate Edition\bin_ship
and run
DAUpdater.exe
pick select dazip, browse to your downloads, and pick all of the dazip files, (ctrl+a to select them all)
then select them all, and install (pick the top one, then shift and pick the bottom one to select all)
It was never free.
Also none of this should be necessary with the ultimate edition as all the DLC is included in the download.
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Dragon Age Ultimate Edition\redist (or wherever you install your Steam games)
Run both of the following .exe files:
DAUServiceSetup_Steam.exe
DAOU_UpdateAddinsXML_Steam.exe
The second one in particular adds the DLC to the games AddIns.xml file so the game knows they are there. They should then show up in game.
now its just a few xbox dlcs that are free
http://social.bioware.com/da2/dlc_bundle/
steam does not offer any dlc for the game
http://store.steampowered.com/dlc/47810/
you had to get them from bioware/ea to get any of the dlc
make an origin/ea account, and enter the game code you got from steam and it will add all of the dlc to your ea/bioware acct, then you can download and install it
Nope. It was never free.
And again none of what you say is needed for the ultimate edition which includes all the DLC in the download.
You don't need to redeem any codes on the BioWare site.
You don't need to manually download and install them from the BioWare site.
The problem is caused by the addin.xml file in the folder:
C:\[Username]\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Settings (replace [Username] with your actual username)
it is not updated correctly after the installation, so you have to update it yourself...
This is how it works:
-find the addin.xml file in the "_installer" folder of your INSTALLATION DIRECTORY(!) usually this is C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age\__Installer
-copy the addin.xml from your installation directory and replace the addin.xml file in C:\[Username]\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Settings
Congratulations, you are finally able to play DAO: Awakening and all DLCs you have installed!"
FURTHER UPDATE:
On opening the game after the above fix, all the DLC was showing up and everything seemed to be in order. However, I realized quickly that despite it showing all DLC as installed and enabled, I still wasn't able to access Sulcher's Pass and the merchant wasn't actually showing up at the camp for Warden's Keep. SO FRUSTRATING. But I went back to the internet and found some info that it was possible that the offers file was messed up.
This additional fix allowed me to play the game with the DLC actually, truly showing up in my game:
1. Do steps as listed above
2. In that same C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age\__Installer folder, there is another file you need to copy - offers.xml
3. In the C:\[Username]\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Settings folder, I found that there was no offers file at all. So I just pasted the offers.xml file here.
4. Problem should be solved!
Fixed it for me
Dude thanks so much that was really helpful

Any awards you might consider giving me, don't. Instead pass them to this other person!
Thank you, you just made my day 10 years later!
