Rogue in Massive Armor?
I want to play as a longsword duel wielding rogue and im not worry about stats ( I can always just had more by the console) I want to have fun. I know rogues mainly wear light armor but I want to try something different so what massive armor pieces would be the best?

Never played one with longswords but I always use the chest piece for the Warden Commander's armor because of the +15% crit/backstab bonus.

I'm not the best at strategy RPGs, so i just go full tank with whatever i can, as long as the armor is good, i wear it

If you have seen characters in videos with two longswords in heavy armor you are looking at a dual wielding berserker-ravager-champion warrior ( which I do alot and love)

if you are going to play rogue i recommend dual wiedling daggers, stealth and youll love the backstab damage. Its amazing.

it is not recommended to wear heavy armor as a rogue because you will end up eating up all your energy with the weight penaility. There is armor you can get from

Vigels keep that is really great for a rogue once all the pieces are put on that gives you major bonus to energy regen and buff. It is called warden commanders armor.

I'm trying out a rogue character with the Human Noble origin. It's frustrating that Bioware doesn't offer as many unique light weight armors for rogue class. Building up to get the Drakeskin armor made by Wade is a long journey, while I'm already collecting unique heavy armor for Sten, Alistair, and Oghren.

Complete Lelianas song before you play the main game so you get the Battledress,(i think you might have to find all the pieces 1st but i'm not 100% sure if you have to)
Probably the Best light armor in the game and get the Cadash stompers to go with it, these 2 pieces of armor carried me all the way through the game without dieing on Nightmare difficulty while playing a Rogue

I'm sorry about the language, but damn, that sounds like some good armor, though how do you normally play through the game? though if you are on Nightmare Difficulty i'm guessing you know how most of the tactics work and have a game plan for every part

I use Alister for a tanking role(Templar and Champion), Morrigan mainly specced to use Enthropy spells and i take Mana Clash and Crusing Prison out of the Spirit tree,(Shapshifter and Blood Mage) i also put points into the mage so i get her to do more damage with a basic attack, then the last character i take is the Dog for the Tower of Magi, and i use either Oghren or Zevran, Oghren(Berserker and Reaver) and Zevran(Assassin and Duelist) My character was a Rogue Archer with Ranger and Assassin, and i didn't use a healer, i just used Morrigans Herbalism to brew potions and that was my method of healing throughout the game

Also theres a weapon in Awakenings that unlocks for every new playthrough that sells for around 339 gold so i guess selling that makes the game abit easier because it allows you to buy Manuals early and you can equip your party with some OP gear early game that if you played it normally you wouldn't be able to afford until late game
If you use The Winter Forge mod, you can change a piece of massive armor to light armor (changing the bases stats but keeping the bonuses).

I am on my second playthrough, playing a rogue, so I am not an expert of the class. So far (level 14), my rogue does very little that uses stamina. So the fatigue would not be the problem. However, wearing the heavier armors (and using bigger weapons) requires pumping up Strength, which means points to spend on Cunning and Dexterity are scarcer.
