DA:O DLC What Order & When To Play Them
Title pretty much says it all. It seems that the DLC's are additional content accessed from the title screen.

If so, what order should I play them in and at what point in the main game should each be played before conintuing on the main storyline? Or are they just completely seperate from the main game...? I'm a bit confused about them....

The Darkspawn Chronicles
Leliana's Song
The Golems of Amgarrak
Witch Hunt
Dragonspawn Chronicles
Awakenings

In-game...: ?

The Stone Prisoner
Warden's Keep
Return to Ostagar

I would recommend playing both the Stone Prisoner and Wardens Keep early in the campaign, the former gives you a great new compaionion and the latter gives access to a party chest to store items that can be very useful. It does not really matter when you do return to Ostagar but I personally did it about half way through the game (30 hours for me.) Note that these three DLC are intigrated into the main campaign, unlike the others.

I'm still making my way through the additional content now I have beaten the main game but I have read the best order to do it in is:

Lilianas Song
Darkspawn Chronicles
Awakening
Golems of Amgrakk
Witch Hunt

Such an awesome game and so much content!

Aye, I just started the game and am definitely a bit overwhelmed by all the content in the Ultimate edition. Thanks for the reply! Is the additional content accessed from the title screen part of the main game or just additional things to do after finishing the game?

With the excpetion of Lilians song which acts as a prequel they are all set after the main game so you want to do them after completing it.

The order i'd playthrough it is by release date, exceptions for the in-campaign dlc quests.

The Stone Prisoner right after Lothering.
Then Return to Ostagar,
Warden's Keep next, but only if your level 10 by then, otherwise skip it and return later because you can't get special armor if you go before then. Use Bohdan as a bank until then.
Finish the main story.

Then

A Tale of Orzammar
Dragon Age: Awakening
Darkspawn Chronicles
Leliana's Song
The Golems of Amgarrak
Witch Hunt.

All of these you create a new character for except for the last two and Awakening.

Leliana's Song gives a special armor and Darkspawn Chronicles gives a special sword in your Origins save so I would say those two first, then Origins. Golems and Witch Hunt give items too but they also have the option of importing your character from Origins so I feel like those should be after the main game, but maybe that's just me.

Here's the rundown:

-The Darkspawn Chronicles is an alternate take on the ending of Dragon Age Origins so you can really play that whenever
-Leliana's Song is a prequel to Dragon Age Origins
-After the game the chronological order of DLC is Awakening, Golems of Amgarrak and then Witch Hunt.

The Chronological Order you shoud play it in: (DC is just a side experience, not relavant to the story)

-Leliana's song (Learn to love Leliana as the bad girl turned holy. Fun and short prequel)
-Origins (Main game, main feature)
-Awakinings (Main expansion, you should create new Orlesian Warden character here)
-Golems (This side story is based on your Awakenings Warden, so you should import)
- Witch Hunt (Recommend you import an Origins Warden that has Romanced Morrigan and performed the Dark Ritual)

All other DLC takes place in Origins you should try the quests early-mid way into the main story, at about level 10, stone prisoner can be completed earlier, but there are mid level battles.

regarding darkspawn chronicles I hit a fatal bug, when I googled it I found one other person hit the same bug but he never found the solution.

The bug is when have to burn down the first elven gate, nothing happens, either with fire bombs or the mage fireball, so I saved it and moved onto something else.

Lelliana can be done before the main campaign and gives you an extra armour to use in the main game, some fights are really tough tho, notably the captian and those war dogs.

I was told in another thread both The Golems of Amgarrak and witch hunt should be waited until you have done the campaign at least once so can import your hero.
