I'm still making my way through the additional content now I have beaten the main game but I have read the best order to do it in is:
Lilianas Song
Darkspawn Chronicles
Awakening
Golems of Amgrakk
Witch Hunt
Such an awesome game and so much content!
The Stone Prisoner right after Lothering.
Then Return to Ostagar,
Warden's Keep next, but only if your level 10 by then, otherwise skip it and return later because you can't get special armor if you go before then. Use Bohdan as a bank until then.
Finish the main story.
Then
A Tale of Orzammar
Dragon Age: Awakening
Darkspawn Chronicles
Leliana's Song
The Golems of Amgarrak
Witch Hunt.
All of these you create a new character for except for the last two and Awakening.
-The Darkspawn Chronicles is an alternate take on the ending of Dragon Age Origins so you can really play that whenever
-Leliana's Song is a prequel to Dragon Age Origins
-After the game the chronological order of DLC is Awakening, Golems of Amgarrak and then Witch Hunt.
-Leliana's song (Learn to love Leliana as the bad girl turned holy. Fun and short prequel)
-Origins (Main game, main feature)
-Awakinings (Main expansion, you should create new Orlesian Warden character here)
-Golems (This side story is based on your Awakenings Warden, so you should import)
- Witch Hunt (Recommend you import an Origins Warden that has Romanced Morrigan and performed the Dark Ritual)
All other DLC takes place in Origins you should try the quests early-mid way into the main story, at about level 10, stone prisoner can be completed earlier, but there are mid level battles.
The bug is when have to burn down the first elven gate, nothing happens, either with fire bombs or the mage fireball, so I saved it and moved onto something else.
Lelliana can be done before the main campaign and gives you an extra armour to use in the main game, some fights are really tough tho, notably the captian and those war dogs.
I was told in another thread both The Golems of Amgarrak and witch hunt should be waited until you have done the campaign at least once so can import your hero.
