Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition

Why are my NPC allies canceling buffs?
This is bugging me, honestly.

I have Wynne in my party. As far as I'm concerned, her primary purpose is as a passive-buffing bandage dispenser. She should thus NEVER not have Haste, Spell Wisp, Cleansing Aura, and maybe one of the weapon empowering spells up.

(Yes, I know that's a lot of reserved mana. She has the mana to spare.)

And yet, I'm finding her without her buffs up. Do they automatically cancel on every scene transition, do I need to manually reactivate them? Is she autonomously deciding to cancel them mid-fight because she wants less fatigue (something she should never be doing, because again, her whole job is to anchor those buffs.) Or is there something else I'm missing?

Some buffs will turn off when mana/stamina is depleted, others turn off when you enter another area, or they turn off after combat. Also, enemy mages can remove buffs from your party.

Templars will also remove buff's, so if you got a Templar or a Mage in your party and they use cleanse area or dispel it'll get rid of any status effects if it be friendly or hostile

Another thing is if the character falls in battle, any of their buff's/status effects will be removed

Here is something else. Make sure to read up on some of the sustained buffs. Some of them acutally eat mana as long as it is up and depending on said buff's requirements each action taken can take away mana and or stamina which in turn can shut it off when they are depleted.
