Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition

Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition

is the blood dragon armor cheasy to to use?
So now that I can equip it it's a huge difference then the armor I had on, I want to wear this but not if the armor makes the game that much easier as I am enjoying the challenge.

Well, I guess it depends on what difficulty setting you are playing at.

I personally didn't use it just because I didn't like how it looks :P

I keep switching between Normal and Hard myself since the rubberbanding can sometimes feel a bit lackluster or bash you over the head with impossible encounters.

It's not the best armor in the game. Wade's Superior DragonBone Plate takes that gold.

so keep using it?

It was a pretty good set for the first half

If you're doing your very first playthough, I wouldnt use any of the dlc stuff. It's overpowered through half of the game and screws with the balance that was intended. Of course if you like to just walk through fights without a care in the world, then go right ahead and use that stuff - It's going to be boring however :)

The Winter Forge pretty much sidesteps all the DLC items. It allows you to make your own stupidly overpowered sets from scratch with your own hands!

There is far better armour in the game. I replaced it pretty early on.

Nope. Sentinel Armour. That is in awakening though.

I always sell it. Never really liked how it looked, plus you get way better armor later on.

I think the Juggernaut Plate armor is equivilent to the Blood Armor it might even be better you get a few more bonus resistant stats with it. The Blood Armor is good to sell early when you are short on gold

i hate the blood dragon armour. They had blood dragon armour Dragon age 2. Its always so ugly and unbalanced for the lower levels. They even had ugly ass blood dragon armour in mass effect.

I like to give that armor and other powerful stuff to my companions. That way my character isn't too OP and it slightly reduces the amount of micromanaging for tanks.

It's single player, so whatever you wanna do, that's up to you.

Since you asked, I find it cheesy to use. Including all the other stuff you get from DLC. I delete it right away, since the game is already easy enough. No need to start out with super awesome armor + Tons of gold.

But again, single player. Whatever floats your boat.
