Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition

Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition

What does the "Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition DLC CD Key" do?
I bought the game and it came with two codes on the "Product Key" option.

The fist key code is related with "Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition" (the game it self), the other is the "Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition DLC CD Key". I checked that I have to redeem it on the Bioware website but what I want to know is what does it do?

It is already the "Ultimate Edition" = the complete game, shouldn't be a new content separated from the game, what am I not understanding?

Thanks for the help!

On the Steam version you don't need to redeem anything, its all activated as is. Just go play.

Steam keeps the codes incase you are ever asked for them, outside of the platform.

It's mainly from a time when the DLC needed to be authorised upon first running after installation using an online check. You would redeem the code on the BioWAre Social Network to add the DLC entitlements to your account then login to that account in game to authorise it.

It's not necessary now though.

Thanks guys, you were very enlightening! :)

So do not make any difference if I activate the codes on the bioware website?

If I give the code to someone who has the base game he may can enable DLCs for him through the Bioware website?

It makes no difference no.

Well I don't think that's really allowed but I guess. Awakening would not be included though I don't think. On my registered game content (I did redeem my code) all DLC is listed there except Awakening which is technically an expansion and not DLC.

You can also redeem the game code on Origin and the DLC code on the BioWare website to enable a downloadable copy (including Awakenings) on your Origin account if you have one :spazwinky:
