Darkspawn Horde Invasion- World Map?
Ok so I grabbed the game on sale (what a deal) and I'm having a blast. I just completed the redcliffe quest (killed connor). I noticed that Lothering has been destroyed on the world map, and the black paint mark is getting bigger. Will the horde eventually spread and destroy everything if I don't move quickly? Because it's bothering me that I can't complete things at my own pace (came out of Skyrim, put Alduin on hold for weeks).

So will I eventually lose? Or will the horde stop at Lothering until I make a move?

I've played through the game at least a dozen times, completed pretty much everything, and never had the darkspawn end the game. You should be good to finish what you want.

No. It's not timed. you can do whatever you please. Lothering just dies after the first Treaty Mission.

Please put a spoiler tag in your post in necessary places. A lot of people have bought the game recently and we wouldn't want the game to be spoiled for them, right ?

Lothering is the end of the more introductory chapter of the game. So yes, it becomes invaded and inaccessible (Kocari Wilds for a while too, and Ostagar unless you do the Return to Ostagar DLC).

But the rest of the map, for the most part, should be good. The Darkspawn don't advance too much, story-wise, for a good while - and then of course things get dire towards the end of the game :P

You're fine. You just can't visit Lothering after the first visit. If you messed up (you can miss party members and smaller quests from there), then you'd have to restart the game I guess.
