~Best Class Build?~

I was wondering whats the best class build all around, out of all 3 classes. Playing on Nightmare this time around for my first time, wanted to do high damage.

Well I want to use a mage, but I'm more of a sword and board. Is there any other way?

Arcane Warrior is melee.

Arcane Warrior manipulates your stats in order to wear other armor.

Any class is good really. I went trough nightmare without any mage in party. Since you are interested in high dps I would say cunning rogue. Get str to 20, dex to 35 and rest of points in cunning. Get two daggers, lethality and momentum. Grab assassin specialization with dueling and you are set. Good luck.

Alright. What to do with the Archdemon though?

I don't know. Date him maybe? Trust me. By the time you get to archdemon, you will figure out a way to fight him. And nothing says "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of dmg" like an rogue with dual daggers that hits three times as fast thanks to momentum, has a chance to paralyze with every hit thanks to runes on weapons, and can use pinpoint strike from duelist specialization after he use mark of death from assassin specialization so every hit you make is critical.......Trust me....it's all damage baby. Pair it up with good stunlockers such as leliana, morrigan, alistar or oghren and you are good to go.

Here is something interesting if you want to play something...more different. I am playing mix between rogue and warrior right now. Imagine it, as a warrior with rogue talents. Get STR to 31 and pump rest in dex. Wield heavy and massive armors with dual wield. From roleplaying reason. My guy right now is warden commander so he wears warden commander armor that gives bonus to backstab...he is well protected by armor, can dodge 50% of times thanks to high dex, strike really fast thanks to momentum, have high defense and attacks thanks to duelist, can critical attack any time, can stun thanks to dirty fight, can backstab anyone he wants when they are stuned and have loads of abilities to pick from dual wield tree. He can also unlock chests. My favorite and ultimate character. Oh, he can also dual wield anything he wants, since I pumped str to 40. Interesting character.

It's best of the both worlds. You are trading warrior talents for rogue ones, which are better, and you get to use whichever weapon you want + armors. BUT you are not doing as much dmg as cunning light armor rogue. But you are pretty tough guy this way. Average at everything but I can take on 3 guys alone on nightmare, and can win 1v1 against any yellow opponent. And my team also pwned trough every revenant so far. I like this build :)

Spirt Healer - Arcane Warrior can be nigh unstoppable if done right.

I love dual wield warrior with beserker and reverspecials. 45+strength 45+ dext with the warden commander armor is so much fun >< ( warden commander armor is in the warden keep dlc)

it can also work with beserker and champion.

focus on the dual wield tree , and warrior skills that improve damage but not tank skills. ( +strenght)

youll have a blast. I like rever because i can heal with it to offset the berserker health regen penalty.

dw warrior is lots of damage with good evasion.
2h warrior is like a melee caster
archer gets op in awakening, bugged in original
melee rogue can be veeery deadly either backstabbing or sneaking to mages and taking them out in 1 second.
mages are all good
