Jowan's Intention

so i started playing this game for the first time around a week ago (it's great btw, love it). and i wanted to clear out all of my side quests before i went to Arl Eamon to gather my forces. and as the title of this discussion points out, Jowan's Intention does not work. i went to the DA wiki to see what was wrong and the game is bugged. and see, i followed the guide to download a mod that fixes the quest, (the mod is 'TSM Jowan's Intention Fix') and one of the steps is to replace the old file with the new file in the manual override directory. the problem is, the manual override directory is located in packages/core. and it's not there. which deeply worries me.

any help?

Just make your own by making a new folder there named override and place the files in there. It's normal for one to not sometimes be generated after installing the game.

Though I would recommend a better mod for you that fixes over 850 bugs in the game, including the Jowan's Intention. Check out the link below if your interested and feel free to ask any questions if necessary.

okay, so i downloaded the mod you linked, did all of the instructions it told me to do, and it still does not work.

Have you done all of the following in your current playthrough?

1. Told him to "Run. I never want to see you again." This would of caused him to flee Redcliffe and not return when discussing with Isolde and Teagan on how to save Conner.

Note: This is important. If you chose anything else besides that, you will never get the Jowan's intention quest.

2. The Arl of Redcliffe/Urn of Sacred Ashes quest line is fully completed and Arl Eamon is cured.

3. You have gone out to check a Chanter's Board. I normally get it at either Redcliffe or Denerim's Chanter Board.

Note: You might have to reload a save before you completed The Arl of Redcliffe/Urn of Sacred Ashes questline to get it to work and do a quest or two till Jowan's Intention pops up on the Chanter Board.

okay so i already completed those two quests. and those were a good while ago. i do not feel like redoing basically the whole game lmao.

Lol totally get ya. I wouldn't want to either. There are a couple of other options available in your case if your interested in doing the work. It would require the use of the debug console for the game or the use of a savegame editor to get the quest to show. Would you be interested in that or would you rather just leave it be at this point?

i'd rather just finish the game as is.
