Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition

Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition

How to start...?
I have followed various guides over the past two months since I bought this game trying to get the game to run. Finally, I have got it running tonight but what I want to know is; Is there a way to launch the game through Steam as opposed to the executable in the game files?

Launch it through steam. A window will pop up, that's the launcher. You can tweak your settings in that, but that's optional. There's a button at the middle bottom that says launch game. You have now launched the game.

Unfortunately, that does not launch the game. The game will not launch.

Have you tried validating the files?
Right click on DAO in the library, go to properties. somewhere there's something called local files, then verifiy vile integrity.

None of the answers helped with my question.
I managed to do what I wanted, however.
I am pretty sure the answer came from this guide:

heres my guide this is what 100s of people have used and got their game to work. Ive posted it here so many times over and over and it wont get pinned so idk https://youtu.be/yRopnU5efZY?si=0PoD71pLt0HHvoRz
Go to Nexus site, install the 4GB patch for the exe file, plus a bunches of fixes and restorations if you want a (full) fuller experience. UI mod is also great to make the texts more readable. Vanilla game without any mods is still better than 99% of Action RPGs these days, tho.
