Solution to Linux Launch problem

Hello. I noticed a couple of people have already posted solutions to the windows issues, so here's a linux solution that worked for me. The game should also work just fine with GOG, I think it's mostly the steam version having these issues.

What's odd is I played the game last year and had none of these issues whatsoever.

I'm playing on Linux rn just fine, dunno what your issue is, but im using GE proton if you're not and you wanna try it, Launcher and Mods work fine.

I am playing it on GoG through through Heroic Launcher, it uses Proton GE 8-26 and works good. Only issue I had was when I configure the game to set my graphics, it won't launch afterwards. I just stop it and relaunch without going into configuration. The game still crashes once in a while though.

For some people it works without any tweaking. No idea why. Other people the launcher just doesn't launch the game.
