I'm not clicking on that link to PC GAYmer but yes, people have been saying this for a while now. Everyone from the original game days left. The new ones don't even know their current engine let alone the old one to come up with a remaster.

Yup, hence why everything BioWare releases these days is dogwater. The talent that brought them so much fame has left and been replaced with people that have nothing but spite for the original fans.

If you see how remasters are handled these days, especially GTA 3, vice city and san andreas, do you even want one?

There´s no reason for a remaster, only a patch that fixes the crashing and restores cut content.

That's going to be the next plague for this industry.
Everything's going to look or at least feel the same and a single issue is going to afflict every single game.
Not even taking into account possible change of policies.
Unreal is owned by Epic, imagine one day Whiney Sweeny decides every unreal engine game can't be released on Steam or has to grant 6 months exclusive to Epic(ly) failed platform

Considering how horrible the engine was, i don't blame them.

A bummer to hear though.

If they wanna remake origins at some point, they'll do that. but it's all hands on deck for ME5 rn i heard so i'ma let them cook w/ that. if you're hurting for a '' good '' port of DAO, just play it on the xbone if you have it.
60fps, no constant crashes. higher resolution.

I would like to try Origins. I was trying to play it but the game kept crashing when I would travel to the first village we were supposed to be

They don't need to know the engine. It can be completely redone in frostbite or unreal. Useless excuse by the company. A remaster using the old engine would be useless, and outdated, TBH.

You never know. Maybe in twenty years time Beamdog will get ahold of the code and produce a remaster?

Lmfao imagine Origins remade by the reaper husk that is Nu Bioware, blood gone, dialogue neutered to fit modern sensitivities, and so on.

Frostbite remake would be more likely, i think. They already did a LOT more with frostbyte than what should have been possible.
