Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition

Enabling console commands
Was looking for help enabling console commands and putting in a command to harden Alistair. Already did his quest and didn't know about the only dialog option that does harden him. Please and thank you

You need to edit a game file on ultimate edition on steam:

Found it on a form: all credits to a guy in 2015 in a steam discussion(to lazy to look at it)

First you need to find the DAOriginsLauncher.xml file. For me it is located here, and it should be for you as well (once you find the steam folder)

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dragon Age Ultimate Edition\data\DAOriginsLauncher.xml

Open the xml file. Use CTRL+F to open the search option and look for this:

<true action="execute" file="${BINARIES_DIR}\DAOrigins.exe" path="${BINARIES_DIR}" autoquit="true" />

You now need to replace the entire line with this:

<true action="execute" file="${BINARIES_DIR}\DAOrigins.exe" path="${BINARIES_DIR}" autoquit="true" arguments="-enabledeveloperconsole" />

Save and close the file - You are done with this part!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now go to your documents folder. We are looking for the KeyBindings.ini file. It should be located here:

xxxxxx\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Settings\KeyBindings.ini

Open the file and use CTRL+F to search for OpenConsole_0

It will list the command console key there, though you will probably want or need to change it. The tilde key is a bit problematic if you don't have a US layout keyboard, so I use control+x. It looks like this for me, just make it look the same.

OpenConsole_0=Control + Keyboard::Button_X

Save and close the file - You are done with this part!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

For the mod, go to http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/1110/? and download the manual file. It comes in a zip file so you need to unpack it yourself.

Inside you will find a fonts.erf file. You need to place this file in the BioWare folder in your documents as well, but a different subfolder:

xxxxxxx/Documents/BioWare/Dragon Age/packages/core/data/

Just copy-paste it in there - You are done with the console mod!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You should now be able to access the command console at any time during the game, and it should be visible in the top left corner on the screen. You can find a list of console commands and item/talent codes on the wiki page linked earler, just scroll down.

Hope it helps,

harden Alistair using the console,
command "runscript zz_den_debug"
enter
party

That is very complicated.

After checking nexus, I found a mod to toggle the flag:

Editing two text files and dropping a font into the data folder to use the companion debug conversation isn't difficult. You just have to remember that Alistair can't be in the party when you run the script.
