Other than that I think the story works perfectly fine in any order.
Orzammar meaning when you travel there, or the Orzammar DLC
After MANY playthough's the route that makes the most sense (to me) and most enjoyable?:
#1: As many sidequest as possible before moving on to main story (which, ironically, is the WORST thing you can do in DA: Inquisition...man....great story but the side quest were so tedious. They made a SP game like and MMO!!!
#2: Circle of mages (because I actually HATE the place and it is my least favoire mission in the game so a) get it over with and b) get all the sexy stat bonuses EARLY when they can help the MOST
#3: Earl Eamon
#4 Elves/werewolves
#5 Ashes/Eamonpart 2
#6 Orizzmar
not only does it make the most sense in terms of META. IT actually flows the best, story wise, too.
My 1.5 dollars!
Yep Orzimmar always seems to be last. But should I have the Golem in the party through that phase
If you plan on siding with Caridin in the deep roads. Shale would like to go along, or she will ask you about what happened later (Don't lie...She will know what you chose anyway) If you plan on siding with Branka then you probably do not want Shale in your party.
Other than that, and her companion quest of course. Shale really does not have much in Orzimmar. There are a couple lines of dialogue at the Shaperate if she is in party.
Mother of truckers I haven't gotten that far yet!
No hints of spoilers I still don't really know what's going on in DOA yet, although I have some sneaking suspicions
DLC-wise Leliana's is a prequel, so just do it when you encounter her or when you feel like it, just don't take too long I can't mention why, it's detached from the main campaign so don't worry.
Stone Prisoner is really up to you.
Awakening is the events after the Origin's main story.
Golem of Amgarrak takes place after Awakening, and Witch Hunt is the very last quest of Origin.
Awakening and Witch Hunt are both very important, the first is a sizeable "old-school" expansion, the latter a short series of quests, they are both very worth it and set the events in motion of the whole franchise with a lot of foreshadowing.
Edit: Return to Ostagar could be done at any point before the last Origin quest.
Yeah I'm doing the mages first this time, last I did Redlicffe first I think that was a mistake.
Is it in Denerim?
because you get Wynn
and she is the most useful nonplayer character you will get.
You forgot to add the
The Darkspawn Chronicles
that should also be played last as it is a what if darkspawn won.
