is the game playable on windows 11 i know its an old game still hoping i can still play it with newer tech

Yes you can play the game on windows 11 though you "might" need to do some tweaking. If you end up having any issues, check out the guide below for help.

I've had 2 crash to desktops already, and I'm still in the castle fighting to escape to the main game. It worked great back when I was using Win7. Win11 is a no-go.

im on 11 myself. I did the LAA thing (quick look at community will guide you), and so far haven't had a single hiccup. Still on the grey warden tower mission after initiation, so not very deep yet, but so far so good

I'm on win 11 and have had no stability issues, it seems like that differs on a case by case basis however.

Just use the LAA tool for any old game, and it usually patches up most holes. Newer os's just have problems with older games and they way they were built around hardware, leading to memory leaks. its unavoidable at this point, you should always assume older games are going too need tweaking on PC.
