Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition

PC interface mods?
I owned this game ages ago on my (ugh) old Mac, then obtained a PS3 copy which I played through. Since I've thankfully returned to PC, I've been enjoying DAO (and other games, of course!) a whole lot more.

Recently, I picked up the Steam Controller and Steam Link while they were on sale, and I love it. Thing is, DAO doesn't have native controller support, and the configurations that are available are...well, odd. They work, but only "sort of," and they seem to make the gameplay a whole lot slower as a result (for example, the finnicky nature of the touchpads pretty much requires pausing to give yourself the precision to ensure you're using the right skills).

I've seen some mods out there for DAO on PC, and thought to ask - are there any mods that effectively "transform" the DAO PC version into something more akin to the console versions, so that it's more playable with a Steam Controller in Big Picture?

sorry to say but no, there really isnt a mod that does that. Well I will rephrase that. I have not found any mods that can do that. I am not much a gamepad fan anyways when it comes to PC games like Dragon Age Origins because game pads tend to run out buttons for skills for Dragon age , especially if playing a mage.

I wouldnt mind using a gamepad for dragon age II however, tends to play better with a gamepad.

If you do find a way to do what you want however please post it here, I am sure there are many other players who would rather play with a gamepad in dragon age origins.

I'm with you that I generally prefer games like this - perhaps ESPECIALLY this - with a mouse/keyboard combo, but it'd be neat to have it open for use with the controller and my Steam Link to play on a big screen without, if I wanted.

Thanks, and I'll definitely post if I find something!
