PS3 Controller on PC?
Hello all, I bought Dragon Age: Origins with all the dlc at somewhere around 70-90% off a year or so back and am finally getting around to installing it and checking it out. I'm a console gamer at heart and love using a ps3 controller whenever possible, however I can't ignore the amazing deals Steam offers, so I got the game on here. Lately for Steam games I've been using Better DS3 Tool to use a ps3 controller, but when looking into this game I've only found controller support through xpadder. Anyone know of how I can setup my ps3 contoller to play this game, preferably through a method using Better Ds3 tool?

Any ideas?

Solved, I was able to get the controller to work using both Better DS3 Tool and Xpadder in tandem. I was basically one step away from having it solved, just a shame no one on here could help me out with that. If anyone has similar issues they can feel free to come to this thread, and hopefully I can answer their issues.

I realize this is an old thread, but it's exactly what I'm looking for. I received the Ultimate Edition as a gift but I originally played it on PS3 and re-wiring my brain for mouse/keyboard or even XBox has so far failed. I'm not good with tech stuff either so I really hope you're still around!

I've always been fine with necroposts. And funny enough, I still haven't gotten around to playing this game. There's a new program around these days called Scptoolkit that shoudl help with making your ps3 controller work. Or if you have a PS4 controller, those are more pc friendly. As for Dragon Quest specifically, look into Xpadder or Pinnacle alternatives (both of which I think cost money), and the nexusmods site to try and find good key/mouse mappings. Best tech advice I can give is when you can't figure something out, google exactly what the problem is and use your comprehensive reading skills to scan for the answers you need.

Thank you for replying. I tried Xpadder but it wasn't quite what I was looking for; I'll look into your other suggestions and hope my comprehensive reading skills are up to the task.
