Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition

Won't load anything past origin story
So I got dragon age on steam mainly to play with mods. I installed a bunch, played through the mage origin story with no issues, but at the end of the origin when you leave with Duncan, the loading screen just keeps on loading, and never loads Ostagar.
Tried a city elf origin, exact same issue.
Tried uninstalling all the mods... same issue.
Has anybody encountered this before?

Get rid of the mods
That is the problem

Mods are ALWAYS the problem
This is in MY opinion

Then verify the cashe
Or if you have to re-install

The first thing I tried was uninstalling all the mods, still ran into the same problem. I'll try re-installing after removing the mods.

You say you uninstalled the mods, but there could be lingering files messing up your game.

Try deleting your Packages and AddIns folders in these locations:

"./Documents/BioWare/Dragon Age/."

"./[YOUR_STEAM_LIBRARY]/SteamApps/Common/Dragon Age Ultimate Edition/."

Then verify your game cache in Steam.

Blindly installing a bunch of mods is almost never a good idea. If you'll post what you're using, it might be possible to figure out what went wrong. My last play-through involved probably fifteen or so mods, and I didn't have any problems.

If you're running a bunch of character appearance mods, you should probably be using the CharGenMorph Compiler. It works for DA2 also.
